The least amount of chewing you have to do the better. Smoothies, soup, pudding, jello, yogurt, applesauce and ice cream are good choices. Remember nothing with chunks. It could be a week before you're able to chew better, when that happens I wouls suggest stick with mostly soft foods for a little while.
